Ultix Core Server

The Ultix Core Server encapsulates all of the business processes for an entire enterprise.

The Ultix Core Server was designed from the ground up to operate in a "headless" manner meaning there is no direct user interface associated with it. All business processes execute in the server and can be accessed by any number of clients through interaction with the API. The Ultix Core Server is able to be customized for specific industries by creating extensions or plugins to the system.

Out-of-the-box, the Ultix Core Server provides the mechanism for managing entities such as individuals and organizations. These entities have the ability to contain "Aspects". An aspect is simply a personity or role that an entity can take on. One of the ways in which the system is customized for various industries is by creating these Aspects to define the type of entities a given industry manages. The Aspects contain all of the data and functionality that pertain to a given personality.

The Ultix Core Server also allows for the creation of custom business objects. The custom business objects integrate seamlessly with the engine allowing developers to mold a custom environment that directly models their enterprise.

The Ultix Core Server provides a pluggable data layer mechanism for each type of Aspect or custom business object in the system. This allows some components in the system can pull from one data source, while others can pull from another data source. This is ideal when some business processes still need to reside in legacy systems. In this regard, our server functions as a middleware component.
